About This Event

The Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club (WHJWC) is working on a new date for the 11th annual Wonder Run 5K & Kid’s Fun Run! The Wonder Run is a celebrated part of Wellesley’s Wonderful Weekend. We anticipate hundreds of participants and great community support again this year. We hope you will join us! Proceeds generated from the Wonder Run directly support community groups, scholarships for deserving local students, and grants to organizations and programs that provide education, enrichment, and essential services to our local population.

Registration Deadline & Fees (2023)

Early Online Registration: $35 Wonder Run, $15 Kids Fun Run
Early Online Registration closes a week prior to the race..
Kids Fun Run registration is capped at 200 participants

Bib Number Pick-Up

Information will be release here when we are ready. Until then keep training!!

T-Shirts (2023)

The first 250 runners to sign up a month prior to the event will receive a free race t-shirt (please select a size when registering). T-shirts may be picked up at bib pick-up.

Wonder Run Course

The Wonder Run is a USATF certified 5K road race through scenic Wellesley. Wellesley High School track is the location for the 8:00 a.m. start and the course will circle back to the track for the finish line. ALL runners and walkers welcome!

Kids Fun Run Course

There will be a Kids Fun Run around the Wellesley High School track starting at 9:00a.m., following the Wonder Run 5K. Kids ages 6 and under will run 1 lap around the track, and then kids ages 7-10 will run 2 laps around the track. If your child loves to run and wants to run the 5k, they are welcome to sign up for the 5k instead of the Fun Run. The Kids Fun Run is proudly presented by SDSS Martial Arts of Wellesley. Sensei Nicco DeMasco will be on hand with kid-friendly activities before the event. The Wonder Run is fun for the whole family!

As part of Wellesley’s Wonderful Weekend, the Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club (WHJWC) is pleased to present the 9th annual Wonder Run 5K & Kid’s Fun Run on Sunday, May 21 at 8 AM!

The Wonder Run will begin at 8am followed by the Kid’s run (10 and under) at 9am starting from the Wellesley High School track located at 50 Rice Street.

Proceeds generated from the Wonder Run directly support community groups, scholarships for deserving local students, and grants to organizations and programs that provide education, enrichment and essential services to our local population.

Early Online Registration: $35 Wonder Run, $15 Kids Fun Run

Early Registration closes WEDNESDAY, May 17th at 11pm

Kids Fun Run registration is capped at 200 participants

In person registration Thursday, May 18th – Sunday May 21st: $40 Wonder Run, $20 Kids Fun Run; Location: TBD

Information on bib pickup and in-person registration will be provided closer to the Event.

The first 250 runners to sign up before April 30th will receive a free race t-shirt (please select a size when registering). T-shirts may be picked up at bib pick-up.

After April 30 or 250 runners (whichever comes first), t-shirts may be purchased at $10/shirt while supplies last!
